Educational curriculum manual : employment training for low literacy immigrant women

Summary: This manual presents a modular approach to supporting low literacy immigrant women (less than 12 years of education from their country of origin) largely unreached by existing employment training programs. It was designed to address barriers that low literacy immigrant women identify as obstacles to employment. The curriculum contains lesson plans and resources that support practical learning required for workplace success focused on the cleaning industry. It contains modules on: interview skills, cleaning skills, WHMIS, working with others, and health and safety.
