This workbook aims to engage learners in the process of active reading by 1) providing stimulating reading passages, thought-provoking discussion questions, and practical literary activities, and 2) helping learners develop the skills and strategies to become independent readers. Each theme within the book consists of units which provide the following activities: Pre-reading, main reading passage, post-reading, vocabulary, dictionary use, mini lesson, literacy practice and word attack.
