Learning for life strategy: report of the mayor's task force on literacy and early childhood development

Summary: This strategy will assist educators, planners, social agencies, and citizens as they highlight the importance of lifelong learning. It also contains a core set of recommendations that will be implemented to enhance literacy in the City. The report serves two purposes: it tells us where we currently are and what we can do to improve the literacy of every citizen of Surrey said Mayor Dianne Watts. To encourage lifelong learning in Surrey, we need to act now to achieve long term success of our residents and their children (from message from the mayor).
