Summary: This 12 unit curriculum is designed for parents who are non-native speakers of English with children in kindergarten through grade three. It is also appropriate for parents of younger children. It builds parents' English language skills and increases their abililty to support their children's language and literacy development. Each unit in the Teacher's Resource Manual provides a learning goal with background information, lesson plans and resources. The units can be implemented as a whole or as separate learning experiences. The intended audience is parent educators working with English language learners and family literacy practitioners.
