This series, for adult and young adult literacy-level learners, includes a student book, a teacher's edition, and a workbook. The literacy level books differ from upper level books in several ways. Here, vocabulatry acquisition and listening skills are the central focus. Very little traditional grammar is introduced. For preliteracy learners whose native language is not written or has a non-Roman alphabet, the first two units of the student book introduce the alphabet, numbers, and colours.
